Beauty in everyday things
Pottery has been a part of my life for a long time. I studied and worked in studios in Stockholm, North Carolina, and California. I recently moved to Istanbul and set up my own studio. My pieces are mostly wheel thrown, sometimes altered with hand built parts. I also design and mix my own glazes in the studio, matching colors and textures to the clay and the form.
I am inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian ceramics traditions of calm, simple, beautiful pieces that are a part of everyday life. Every piece is unique, designed for beauty, functionality, and durability.
